Nicosia is the capital of Cyprus more than
1000 years. It is the cultural, economic and political center. Its
streets are full of shops, open-air cafes, and outstanding hotels
and a very respected museum including the Cyprus museum, its
principal archaeological display case.
Leventis Museum of Nicosia and Cyprus Jewelers Museum
are situated on the small and narrow streets of Nicosia. Leventis
museum was declared the European Museum of the year 1991.
Famagusta Gate is the entry of the city and it is considered another
work of art in Nicosia.
